Homemade Vegan Flat Bread
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the olive oil and warm water to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough starts to form.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 3-5 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more flour, one tablespoon at a time.
  4. Let the Dough Rest: Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes. This will help make it easier to roll out.
  5. Divide and Roll Out: Divide the dough into 6-8 equal pieces, depending on how large you want your flatbreads.
  6. Roll each piece into a ball, then use a rolling pin to flatten each ball into a thin circle or oval shape, about 1/8 inch thick.
  7. Cook the Flatbreads: Heat a non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, place one flatbread in the pan.
  8. Cook for about 1-2 minutes on one side, until bubbles form, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown spots appear.
  9. Repeat with the remaining pieces of dough.
  10. Brush each flatbread with a little olive oil (optional) and sprinkle with herbs or sea salt for extra flavor.
  11. Serve warm as a wrap, side for curries, or even with hummus!
  12. Enjoy your homemade vegan flatbreads! These can also be stored in an airtight container for a day or two, or you can freeze them for later use.
